Welcome, Honduran. This post will explain the benefits of getting a birth certificate from Honduras.  You can apply online currently. This process was used to avoid contact during the pandemic and stayed this way. Get a birth certificate online to speed up the process.

The birth certificate can be requested through the SIN RNP mobile app and you can pick it up in the consulate you prefer. The app is completely free, and you can find it in the app store for Android and iPhone as “WITHOUT RNP”. Keep reading for more details.

How to Request an Online Birth Certificate from Honduras

First, request an appointment in person or online. The easiest way to get a birth certificate online is through the SIN RNP application.

A birth certificate is extremely important for getting legal services, such as school enrollment or work paperwork. It is also used for business, government, or immigration purposes.

Honduras RNP Birth Certificate Online

Download the online app “WITHOUT RNP” on your mobile phone. When you open the app, check the “Print Document” option, then select the “Request Birth Certificate” option.

To continue, scan the barcode shown on your identification card. The application form will ask if the birth certificate is for you or your child (it is only allowed to obtain a certificate for the first degree of consanguinity). The birth certificate will be generated automatically if it is a personal request. However, if it is for a child, you must choose a descendant, which will prompt you to enter your child’s identity number.

Knowing that the system will compare your data with the applicant’s is important. If they match, the minutes will be automatically saved on your device in a folder called “My Minutes.” Otherwise, you will receive an email with the error message.

  4. Next, scan the barcode on your ID card with your phone camera.
  5. Select whether the birth certificate is for you or your child. Birth certificates are only available for first-degree relatives. If it is for yourself, the certificate will be generated automatically. If it is for a family member, select “Descendant”. Enter your child’s identity number and click on “Accept”.
  6. The system will compare your data with the applicant’s information. If they match, the record will automatically be saved on your device in the folder called “My Records.” Otherwise, you will receive an error message.

If you want to go in person, all you have to do is make an appointment and send it to one of the consulates near where you live. On the day of the appointment, you will have to go to the consulate of your choice with the printed receipt of your appointment. On the other hand, if you request your birth certificate remotely, it will be downloaded to your mobile device in the folder created by the application.
