To process a death certificate in Honduras you need to go to the National Registry of Persons (RNP), the office can be located anywhere, the important thing is to be able to start the process. Death in a private or public hospital:
- The registration of the deceased in the hospital premises.
- Identity card of the individual who appears.
- Identity card of the deceased person. If the deceased was a minor, show a birth certificate.
- Identity card of at least two witnesses who can confirm what happened. Minors will have to provide a birth certificate.
Death on public roads:
- Identity card of the deceased, in the case of being a minor, show birth certificate.
- The sealed report from the forensic doctor or any competent authority must be presented.
- Identity card of witnesses who can attest to the registration.
