- Show original passport.
- Present birth certificate.

- In case of theft, you must make the report and go to the consulate with the nearest police report.
If you have an expired DNI, you can present it, if you do not have it, you must show the birth certificate. Following this, they will take your biometric data, which is the printing of fingerprints, the signature and the capture of the ID photo. To conclude, you must pay the processing cost.

The card is valid for 10 years, and although the first time is free, it is advisable to check the costs at the consulate for this procedure; at the moment the cost of the Honduran ID card is $8.
